she has been running a fever all day of appx. 101 but she isn't complaining of anything else. but lastnight she was complaining of a headache, and then threw-up once. then fell asleep, woke up fussing and sweating. but today she's acting normally, although her face is a bit pale except for her brightly flushed cheeks.

Once in awhile when I am sleeping I feel like I am paralyzed. I feel like I am aware of what is around me but I cannot move or wake up, my eyes seem partially open because I can see some of the room. Sometimes I try to fight my way awake but feel like I am being held by something. When I do manage to wake up my mind seems very cloudy and disoriented for a few minutes.

That is the bad thing. Unless you are willing to adopt an older child, then babies are not available for at least 7 years, due to a long waiting list. I'm sorry, but I want a baby.

Is the insertion painful?

and

How long does it take to insert it?

I have an appointment for later on this month to have a Mirena IUD inserted. I have been researching it, but the only thing I've found is that you might "cramp" for a few hours.

i told him that i could feel a cavity on the inside of my lower jaw. so he went in and filled it in so i thought. as soon as i stepped out of the dentists office i felt that the cavity was still there with the unnumbed side of my tongue. so i went back in and the dentist's assistant was saying "how could he miss that" over and over again. the dentist filled it in no charge. how bad is that?

This is a red bumpy rash. Sometimes when she get hot it has a smell. It is on the fronts of her elbows, back of knees, armpits, on her neck, crack of butt...etc. She doesn't seem to be miserable. I just want her to get better. Have been using a clear detergent, no fabric softner, cetaphil bath soap and lotion, eucerin in the morning and at night. Gets better for a day and then looks awful again. Any advice?

I have a genetic condition which is inherited dominantly, meaning my kids would have a %50 chance of getting it. It is called neurofibromatosis, causing benign little tumors to grow on the nevers. It is more of a pain than anything. Not deadly. The tumors though will increase in growth while I am pregnant more than likely. I have two in my brain. Do I chance it and have a baby? Or do I adopt a child from another country? Please give advice.

I have been a heavy drinker/binge drinker for much of my 20s and 30s and since being married have been drinking almost daily to excess - about a six-pack of beer or too much hard liquor or wine most days per week after work. I used it to escape from the stress of my job and my wife did too - it was a big part of ou rlife. Then all of a sudden I quit drinking on my own - was just sick of it and was worried about my health, and my wife's pregnancy and her quitting drinking made it an easy decision to quit since we always got drunk together in the past and now she had quit. So yes I have quit, and have gotten past the phase of desiring it (that was a hard phase - driving home without picking up a six pack of beer!), but now I am bored and depressed and anxious a lot. Mainly a heavy depression - an emptiness. My questions are, how does an alcoholic/abuser make the transition to a sober life and not be depressed/anxious. I cannot take antidepressants - bad reactions to them.

At night, I'd awake with a cough caused, I think, by bronchitis. Between coughs, I had a problem inhaling. But then I noticed that if I just cleared my mind, paused, and took conscious control over the breathing, I breathed normally. Later I noticed that I was doing a lot of reflexive swallowing after each cough presumably to get mucous out of my airway. That would normally follow a cough, I think, because a cough would move mucous into the throat. But a cough exhales a lot of air and it would also be normal to inhale immediately after a cough in preparation for the next cough. I don't believe that swallowing and inhalation can occur at the same time; hence the difficulty. This also explains why conscious control works; then I'd do just one at a time, swallowing or inhalation but not both. I have much less problem now. Could this explain some breathing problems associated with bronchitis or asthma?
