Pop is so bad for you. I believe diet pop is worse in some ways.

1. The carbonation in pop is SO BAD for your teeth. I was told that by my dentist who said pop is one of the worst drinks for your teeith. In addition, there is tons of sugar, which also bad for your teeth.

2. Pop is emply calories if it is regular. Usually a 20 oz bottle of pop is 2 servings and that's a lot of calories which can affect your weight.

3. Just a waste of money...wouldn't you rather spend that on something else? A 20 oz bottle of pop is over $1 and a 2 liter costs anywhere from $1 to $2 depending on where you buy it. Just think of how much money that is a year.

4. A lot of diet pops contain aspartame (Nutrasweet). Aspartame is not even a food. It is just some chemicals that have about 92 known side effects since I last checked. Some of the side effects include headaches, dizziness, changed heart rate, difficulty breathing, MS, and neuropathy to name a few. Many years ago I used to drink diet pop and used nutrasweet in tea. I developed Neuropathy in my ankles/feet and was unable to walk properly for about 2 months. It was also very difficult to walk. I didn't know then what caused it until years later when I found out more about aspartame. The neuropathy only went away b/c I got tired of the pop/tea and went back to drinking water and also coffee for which I didn't and still don't use any kind of sweetener.

I'm not saying, don't ever drink pop, but it is something which you should drink rarely. You'll enjoy it more that way too.

Diet sodas are pretty bad, they have Aspartame in them which can badly affect many parts of your body and has been known to cause MS, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and a bunch of other things. Also ONE can of Coke will shut your immune system down for 8 hours... So, while soda is good, don't drink it all the time.

Soda has carbonation in it. This weakens the bones. The sugar in soda does nothing but give you temporary energy. Once all of the sugar is burned you feel tired and worn out. Both Coffee and dark soda cause your teeth to tarnish and gradually become yellowish. Especially coffee.

Diet sodas are bad for you due to the artificial sugars in them. They can cause headaches too, bad ones. Can also cause acne. Drink water and juices.

is there ANYTHING good about pop? nope, nothing at all. and diet sodas are so bad for you due to the aspartame, that my dads doctor and nutritionalist told him that if he insisted on drinking pop, he would be better off drinking regular pop even though hes diabetic. truth is, drinks are meant for hydration and/or nutrition. pop does more harm than good.

Diet or not, it's still bad for you, like someone else said, it has artificial flavor, which makes it worse. My doctor said that drinking one soda, puts a pound on you weekly, rather or not that's true, i don't know. I gave up soda all together.

Diet soda has no calories but has aspertame in it which in its raw form can cause cancer or blindness. It hasnt been proven that drinking diet soda can cause either of those but that ingredent has those effects in large doses. Coffee is good for you in moderation.

Artificial sweeteners are worse for you than sugar or corn syrup. Did you know aspartame is a by product of the tar production process?

most soda is bad for you, too much sugar and caffeine, and ones like pepsi & coke can actually restore pennies to their original shiny state. Try to drink caffeine free like root beer and fruity flavored pop, they are a little better
