This is a red bumpy rash. Sometimes when she get hot it has a smell. It is on the fronts of her elbows, back of knees, armpits, on her neck, crack of butt...etc. She doesn't seem to be miserable. I just want her to get better. Have been using a clear detergent, no fabric softner, cetaphil bath soap and lotion, eucerin in the morning and at night. Gets better for a day and then looks awful again. Any advice?

Sounds like a yeast infection to me (can go anywhere on the skin I believe). I'd check with her doctor who will probably prescribe an ointment to take care of it.

My son has eczema and there isn't any smell to it. Just patches of dry, rough skin that responds well to Aquaphor ointment (found at Wal-Mart).

Good luck!

Atopic Dermatitis? Atopic eczema may start in babies from 3 months, often on the face, then to the outside limbs and the body. In older children it can occur on almost any part of the skin but most commonly involves the creases of the limbs, especially in front of the elbows and behind the knees and the wrists, ankle and neck.

My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

Although you might the thought of it disgusting Urine is quite an effective treatment as it an "oatmeal poultice." Soak the oatmeal in a sock or flannel and rinse it out till all the whiteness has gone. Then apply the sock. It is most effective. Also avoid certain fruits and veg, in particular tomatoes and lettuce which accerbate skin conditions.

yes, you just have to try it. Coconut oil works on almost everything. They sell in in the healthfood store. A little goes a long way. I however use the kind for cooking. But since your daughter is 3 months you probably should go to the health food store they sell the kind designed for skin.

Try to let her go without clothes when possible.

Use Fels Naptha soap for your laundry, it is very good.

Take her to the pediatrician for a referral to a pediatric dermatologist if if recurs or doesn't clear up easily.

Try putting corn starch or baby powder in the creases of her skin, it sounds like it may be a moisture problem.
