does anybody get stomach pain and bloating when you drink diet soda? Doesn't matter w/ or w/out caffeine. I've heard something about aspartame being a problem for some people in sugar-free dessert foods, but I'd never noticed a problem before recently. Gas goes along with the pains, but not like burping from the carbonation....just a distended gas pain in the belly.

I've had a lot problems with teet lately. I recently went to dentist nd was told I have to get 3 Route Canals, each one costing over $1300. I am a sudent and dont have any real money to pay these now but need them fixed because I already have an infection in my jawbone from one of these teeth and will lose them sooner or later if I dont get them fixed, I dont have dental insurance either! What should I do?

When a woman has a pap smear performed, do they actually take a tiny piece of skin/flesh/whatever you call it, or do they simply swab an area with a Q-Tip?

I am not physically going to have kids because I am going to adopt, so I don't really need my period.

Is there any way to get rid of it that will not harm my body? I have seen adds on tv and some look neat, but then they say all the risks at the end and I'm completely turned off from those.

I would be the happiest person in the world if I never had to have a period ever again (who wouldn't be?!) so are there any ways? I heard on the news a while back that there is a new birth control that takes away your period completely as long as you take the pills every day. Anyone heard of it? Is is safe or harmful for your body?

If someone subjects someone to abuse, and they then excuse it by saying that they have been hurt before and dealt with it...that you will get over it. They pity you but show no obvious remorse. Is that considered a narcisitic person? Everything reverts back to them?

I was wondering if any of you experience periods where you seem to be half in a flashback and half in the present. I was recently diagnosed with PTSD and am just beginning therapy to deal with flashbacks, and I've been feeling like that all day. I just wanted to know if anyone else experiences this (meaning is it anywhere close to normal), or if I should call my therapist. My next appointment isn't for three weeks.

I've had this for years on one of my big toes. It seems pretty mild as it doesn't cause any discomfort and hasn't spread, it just makes my toenail look white.
However it started after I injured that toe - I dropped something heavy on it and it was bruised/bleeding underneath, I guess that's when the fungus invaded. I've recently injured the big toe on my other foot (out mountaineering) and am worried I'll get the fungus on that toe as well so I've decided to take measures to finally get rid of it!

What can I do? I did go to the doctors once and got tablets that I took for 3 months that had no effect. The doctor was reluctant to give me more due to their potential adverse effects. I've seen other treatments - home remedies, creams, etc., but what is most effective?

I had a look in my chemist and couldn't see anything. I've seen some stuff online but don't want to fork out money over the 'net for something that may not work.

Any advice?
