40 mg is the max you should take in a day. Make sure it's in divided doses though, like 10mg every 6 hours.

Recommended prescription dosing of Valium for adults is 2 -10 mg 2 to 4 times a day so 40 mg of Valium per day is within the recommended dosing. It is available in 2mg 5 mg and 10 mg tablets.

Well I think 40 mg of Valium is to much for anybody but if you have to take them be careful because Valium has allot of different side effects. I wouldn't be driving a car. If you are taking them take them the right way because they are very addictive. Valium will make toxins build up in your body and make you very sick. Just be careful because the more you take the more you will need to get the same effect. Because your body builds a tolerance to drugs. That is why it's so easy to get addicted.

the average dose of valium is either 2.5 mg or 5mg. per tablet which if necessary be taken every 6 hours. If u need 40 mg, I suggest a psychotherapist to get to the bottom of your problems. Valium can be very addicting.

That's an average dose. No, it wouldn't be considered high, it is usually recommended to increase to 40mg after being on 20mg for a few months.

The average dose is 20mg . so take my advise and try to cut it down very slowley.
You cant come of it at onve or you will get bad withdrawles.

no and certain drugs effect people differently if you find you are having side effects then you should contact your GP if not then as long as your prescribed such a dosage and not for the long term I'm sure your doctor will have just cause to suggest what you do or don't take if in doubt talk to your doctor don't leave it to chance.

It is within the recommended guidelines, but I'm surprised you're managing to stay awake to ask the question!
As long as you are taking it in accordance with your GP's instructions, you should be fine.
