Keep going. Everything worth achieving is worth hard work! If you give up on yourself, others will too - don't let it happen!!

You are having a natural reaction to finding out about a medical condition. If you didn't get depressed and scared you would then have reason to be very concerned. This may be something you can work your way through, the suggestion made about tracking your progress towards your goals is a good one. Coming to understand the diagnosis and how it might affect you in reaching your goals is another good starting point.
If this is something that lasts for more than a month though I'd suggest you get professional help.Sometimes a Psychologist can help you fill in the blanks that fear is filling right now (long term prognosis, worthy goals that account for limitations, etc.) Other times depression can be a symptom of a medical condition, the treatment for the condition, or just a plain chemical imbalance. In which case I'd recommend a Psychiatrist who could prescribe an anti depressant to help cope with depression. Also, one of the best coping tools available, is a pretty simple one. When you run into a situation, such as this, where things are beyond your control, try to help another person. It can have curative powers over your own depression. At least that's what I've found after battling depression for the last 20 years. Good Luck.

First of all you stop jumping to conclusion that you get depressed.
The feeling what you are going through is probably anxiety.
Some times we expect too very much in return of the efforts we do or without any effort. We even over estimate ourselves and forget that we are human beings who have limited strength, limited intellect and a limited look given by the mother nature.
Always remember that we are not going to get what we expect. It is a wishful thinking that we can write our destiny ourselves.
Just keep yourself busy, work hard, mix-up with family members and do not try to be in solitude.
Human beings have to live like this... try to be satisfied with whatever you get out of hard work... have faith in you.
The day will come when your wishes would be full-filled. Do not get restless.

Even hardworking people take breaks, so that they can keep on going for the long haul. You need to take a good long break, a real break where you do things that you enjoy doing. Also, you can spend time with people with people you love and care about. I find that my mind can think better when my body is feeling better too. (For me personally, what helped me recover from depression was to believe that Jesus loved me all the same, no matter what I do.)

the best advice I can give you is to keep your head your high and write down some of the goals you wish to accomplish and set a date--once you achieve it before the "deadline", you'll feel much better! Try with simple things first;then work your way up. Anything is possible and if you try!

I also feel low and depressed a lot. I found this book that has helped me so much. It is called 'Feelings Buried Alive Never Die'.
It is written by Karol K. Truman. I carry it around with me all time.
This book addresses depression head on.
Another good suggestion is Carol Tuttle. Her website is http://www.caroltuttle.com. She has lots of good suggestions for positive affirmations.
I wish you good luck!

Please do not feel nerves look to those past difficult days of your life. it shall give you sight to think and to start from a zero base,
instead of worrying on your present.
Think you are starting with immediate effect. What you deserve will get with your concentration. At last two things to be noted only you know your difficulties & only you have & can solve with your high concentration on it.
