If so, how much extra money could one make per month? Is there a limit to the number of times one can donate within a month?

Yes. Just call your local clinic. It depends on who you donate to. If they need it badly they might be willing to pay for it!

That depends where you live. Check your local sperm bank for conditions. In the US the average payment is $25 to $50 per donation.

Most banks have a number of rules. You must refrain from ejaculation for 2 or more days before making a deposit, you must have a complete health screen every six months, and they limit the number of times a month you can make a deposit.

The sperm is kept frozen for six months from the time you deposit it. At that point, they can check that you don't have HIV/AIDS, so it is safe to defrost and use that sperm. They have to wait that long because you might be infected at the time you make the deposit, but not be showing any symptoms.

Because the sperm must be frozen for that long, some men are unsuitable donors - their sperm will not survive the freezing process. So the first thing they'll do is evaluate the quality of your sperm before accepting you as a donor.

Most clinics also have an age cap - usually in the 30's - for donors; again because they need sperm with high motility for a viable donation.

Not if you live in Australia - here we are not allowed to accept money or gifts for donation of body parts - I just went through IVF for a friend and donated 27 eggs to her - she got 24 embryos from it - I did it for love as I cant be paid for it :)

Yes, but the system is sexist. A woman can donate an egg and get thousands of bucks for it, but a man can only get a few bucks for donating literally MILLIONS of sperm. WE NEED COMPREHENSIVE REFORM!

they have some pretty strict guidlines, regardless of what you see in the movies. Most donors come from the scandinavian countries, i guess people want big blonde healthy kids. I dont think you make a whole lot of money, its the chicks who get paid big bucks for their eggs, in some countries where it is legal anyway.

why pay for sperm, there are men everywhere looking to give it away. women get paid for donating their eggs because it's a surgical procedure and very painful, men on the other hand enjoy letting their sperm loose.

This is an oxymoron. Being a sperm DONOR, you DONATE, not sell!
