I was wondering if any of you experience periods where you seem to be half in a flashback and half in the present. I was recently diagnosed with PTSD and am just beginning therapy to deal with flashbacks, and I've been feeling like that all day. I just wanted to know if anyone else experiences this (meaning is it anywhere close to normal), or if I should call my therapist. My next appointment isn't for three weeks.

This is a normal thing to happen if you are going to therapy to deal with past issues that have cause PTSD. I suffer from PTSD as did my father. When i first began therapy i thought my life was only getting worse. But in time these symptoms will fade. Have faith, you will get better, not 100% but what you talk about will stop.

No-PTSD is nothing to worry about unless it's causing you panic attacks or some other problems. This can be dealt with using medication and therapy.

Yes, there are times when certain things in a day will send me rushing back. A smell, sound, light, voice ect.. sometimes I think that it's made up or unreal because it feels so weird. I'm not entirely sure if it's NORMAL or not but your'e not alone.
