Health - 22 September 2006

A few months ago I got quite drunk and had very achey kidneys the following few days after as the 'poison' left my system. It went away and I have hardly touched alcohol since. This past week I`ve had achey heavy feeling kidneys (or those areas) and acid indigestion and bloating. Does anyone now if this is anything in particular?

I had to stop breastfeeding for it and my breasts were engorged, then obviously I couldn't feed anymore because breast milk takes in iodine, so it just knid of festered in there I expelled alot but it still was in there, am I going to get cancer, any statistics on it? any web sites? my doctor just said it's fine, but he wants to remove my thyroid this way too and from what I've read thats really bad.
please help.

My girlfriend just went on the Nuvaring a day ago. I have been searching the internet and the small paper that came with it and yet it doesnt say after how long that she's had it that it will be its most effective. Like how bithcontrol pills say wait 2 weeks....this says nothing. Any help with proof would be great. Thank you

I recently had a chat with a friend who has one leg shorter than the other she lives in oz and explained to me she was having an operation to break the leg and in the process of healing it lenthen the leg.
She also explained to me her surgon was instead of the usual metal cage that surrounds the leg with pins going into the bone
(I think thats how it works) was putting a divice inside her leg that can be remotly controled to expand when required, forcing the leg bone to grow as it heals. The amazing part was that he could do this remotly by monitoring the legs growth on his laptop and sending a signal to the divice teling it when to expand and to what degree. I was expalining this to a friend and he doesn't belive me I now have a £10 bet on this and need evidence this type of technoligy exists.
