If they continue GO SEE A DOCTOR. I get hives when I get stressed, not from allergies and I take Benedryl. You can get it over the counter. You can try calamine lotion to help soothe your skin. Poor thing...I do know how you feel.

Rule out the possible causes- new laundry soap? Nervous, stressed? New foods? New medications, antibiotics?
Have pets? Have you ever had Chicken pox, vaccinated? Been out in the woods near ivy or other irritants?
Bathe with a mild soap like Ivory (or none at all) If not allergic, try over the counter Benadryl (diphenhydramine) following package instructions. Calamine lotion is soothing too, when patted on the lesions. If it gets worse to the point of spreading through out your body or makes your throat feel itchy and breathing affected, get to the ER ASAP. Consult your MD soon- two days is already a long time.

hives is an allergic reaction to somethig you ate ... sometimes they occur from excessive stress or over indulgence of a particular food (i get them from too much tomato juice... more than 2 glasses, up to 2 glasses, no hives, go figure??) review what you have eaten in the last 48 hours although hives are generally an immediate reaction (within 20 minutes) calamine lotion applied to the rash will alleviate the itch ... an antihistimine (found in some cough syrups) can stop them ... stay away from wines til they are gone

Sounds horrible but the ammonia in your own urine will help to reduce the itching. It acts like afterbite but cheaper and much more readily available.
Agree that Benadryl should be tried as a topical cream. Would also look at an over the counter antihisthamine tablet. Go ask you local pharmacist.

You are having an allergic reaction to something. See a doctor to stop it and find out what happened. It could be anything froma bug bite (common enough this time of year) to something you ate. Though I doubt the latter since you don't speak of swelling in your mouth and throat.
Good luck!

Go see your doctor.
Maybe it's from stress...I get hives when I'm under emotional stress. Try antihistamine ...and hydro-cortisone (1%) against the itchiness....if you got those in your first aid kit or medicine cabinet....go to the drug store, if you can't wait till you see your doctor. Antihistamine and hydro-cortisone are available over- the- counter.

Take some Benadryl and go see the doctor ASAP. Otherwise, unless you can be more descriptive as to appearance, size, quantity, location, etc, I can't help.
