Hi,

This post actually consists of a few questions:

I have learned that your muscles don't turn into fat when you stop working out but that you gain more fat because the muscles are still there but no longer burning fat. Is that correct?

I also learned from the same source that your muscles don't go away but they just become floppy from lack of use. If so, does that mean that your muscles exist forever? If not, how long does it take to lose them completely?

You must lose some muscle mass and doesn't that mean that you lose those muscles?

Also, if you used to have a lot of muscle mass is it much easier to gain it back than if you were trying to gain that weight for the first time? If so, what role does time play in this. Is it harder as time goes on to regain the mass?

For instance, if you work out hard and gain 15 pounds of muscle then lose it all by not working out, do you have to work as hard as you did to gain the muscle in the first place, or is it easier?

My man is 20 yrs older than me, we are having an issue! The age thing bothers him a bit, but we cant get enough of each other. Him being older, he has a prob staying erect, or getting erect period. It doesnt bother me, because I will just settle for being close to him and holding each other. How can I reassure we can still have a great life together without the age and impotence being an issue?

specifically interested in UCLA-so, if you have had dental work done there could you please give me feedback on how safe you felt with having a student work on you and how long it took and whether you were satisfied and had an over-all positive experience or not. Of course, going to a skilled dentist is ideal, but the costs are too high and are much lower at the school and I'd like some feedback-weighing the pros and cons. Thanks

like a lot of women, i cannot take diet pills and want to lose weight the healthy way. i go to the gym regularly and cardio is the best! but i would also like to incorporate a good healthy diet to shed about 30 lbs and maintain it. i tried nutrisystem many years ago. it does work and results are quick, but extremely expensive @ about $70/wk.

anybody that has tried a successful diet - i'd appreciate your tips and how much weight you lost. serious answers please

My girlfriend & I have been together for 6 months now & neither of us has been with anyone else since we got together. All of a sudden she has genital herpes. We have unprotected sex. I am going to get tested as soon as possible, but is it possible that I don't have it? Could I have given it to her & it took this long to show?

You know, we are all made to pay taxes yearly. Our paychecks are taxed, we take that money and go to the grocery and are taxed, we get gas and our already taxed money gets taxed again. Why can't our tax money pay for health insurance? If a percentage of our tax money went into a health insurance policy all people would have access to healthcare. As an incentive, people who do not use their money for doctor's visits and hospital costs could receive a larger refund. Many people take advantage of the medicaid system...not everyone, but many people do. If the policy was not free, but as a part of their taxed money...they might not take advantage of the system knowing that they would get THEIR money back at the end of the year. Any thoughts? No spam please...the govenors are in South Carolina trying to figure healthcare out...maybe we, the people, should be of the same mind.

There's this... Thing that happens to me evry once in a while... Its really frustrating... Here's what happens... Sometime, mostly at night... Every sound that comes to me seems to come at a great speed... Like it sounds like evrything is going extremely fast... And so when I move... It feels like I'm moving in slow motion... So due to that, I start moving extra fast to catch up with every sound that I hear... But when I do this, I'm concious that I'm moving extra fast... And its freaky... It freaks me out, and I can't help it when it happens... What's wrong with me? I don't do drugs, i don't drink often, and I do smoke... But I don't think that has anything to with it...

My stomach muscles split when I was pregnant with my first. I had a six pack before getting so big. The doc said "it will go away", I lost all the baby weight within days, but always had a hard time with stomach exercises ( I was in the Army). Well I went on to have a second child and I think it got worse. She is now 5 and no improvement. Are there any medical side effects of this or should I just continue to ignore it. Though it is little cool that I show people I can stick my fingers between gap when doing a sit up!!

My spouse has always had a fairly low libido, long before we met. We've been married 6+yrs now, and he's almost a slug now. He says it's biological, and he tries really hard to keep me pleasured, but still, I need it more often than 2x a month. Any thoughts?

Yes, I've put on weight, but so has he, and I still think he's sexy. Yes, we have a kid, but he's in bed early enough to give us ample time for fun. Yes, he has work stress, but shouldn't sex alleviate it? And yes, I can be a b**** (so can he!), but I never ask him for it when I know I've been a nagging wretch. What do I do, besides stay up later than him and masturbate after he goes to bed?!?!?
