I am wondering if it isnt infected, because if I stick my tounge in the open part of the tooth and suck on it I get blood out of it.

You can go to the drugstore and look through the section that has herbals and vitamins. Look for chlorophyll. That's the stuff that makes plants green. It is excellent for halitosis (bad breath) and any other body odours. Chlorophyll is the stuff they put in sugar-free gums like chlorets to help with breath odour.

You can either take up to 3 at one time or if they're not gelcaps, then you can dissolve them into water and gargle like a mouth wash once or twice a day as needed.

Just be pre-warned that it will change your bowel movement colour. Don't panic!! It's normal that it goes dark (forest or hunter) green. That's just the chlorophyll coming back through. Your body doesn't actually use it so it comes out along with the odour.

Gingivitis is caused by the long-term effects of plaque deposits. Plaque is a sticky material that develops on the exposed portions of the teeth, consisting of bacteria, mucus, and food debris. It is a major cause of tooth decay. Unremoved plaque mineralizes into a hard deposit called tartar that becomes trapped at the base of the tooth. Plaque and tartar irritate and inflame the gingiva. Bacteria, and the toxins bacteria produce, cause the gums to become infected, swollen, and tender. It also causes bad breath.

More than likely the smell will go away when you take care of that bad tooth. The decay is probably causing it.

everyone's answers are really good on here...(like they are saying, it is probably the tooth and it will cure once it is fixed)...and this may sound weird...but use a tongue scraper...places like target and walmart sell them..they will strongly help to reduce bad breath. they are easy to use/clean. it might take the edge off for now untill you get the tooth fixed.
