i have called the hospital to get some personal medical records from?

over 20 plus years ago...at the time i was in shock and did not get them for my records....now the hospital said...they are destoyed after 7 years....i asked why? she just said it's the law!!! what is going on....? i thought they got shipped up to los angeles and are in storage>>>>!!!! HELP!!!

Where do you think they would be able to store all those records of every sick person??? After 7 years, they are destroyed. The solution would be for you to ask for copies of all your medical work at the time you get it. Keep it in your own medical file.
Could something be that relevant after 20 years?
