Every once in a while I'll get a bump, sometimes with puss inside, always painful, in areas where sweat collects over the day: between my thighs where they rub together, armpits, under my breasts, and under my fat roll (yeah, I said it...lol) on my sides at the breast level. Eventually they heal and go away but leave a red scar. How can I make these things go away quicker? They hurt!

I've been feeling fatigued and having trouble going to sleep and I've been short of breath, and sometimes I feel too fatigued to even talk. I went to the doctor today (not my regular doctor, but a walk-in appointment) and I've seen her twice already and she says that there's nothing wrong with me. My blood pressure is normal. I don't have a fever. I'd been given Lexapro (5 mg daily) a long time ago but never taken it because some of the side effects I've heard of sound horrible and I don't want to be dependent on medicine. This has really only been horrible in the past four or five days. Before that I didn't feel as bad. I felt bad but not *this* bad. I have a trip coming up on Friday. Can I still take it? Should I start taking Lexapro now? Or should I wait till after my trip? I'm just not sure what to do anymore. All the doctor gave me was nasal spray to help with my sinuses. I need tips and suggestions on what I can do to make myself feel better.

I'm not talking about someone who does it for attention, I'm talking about someone who goes to great lengths to hide the fact that they self harm, but occasionally might feel like they needed to confide in someone about it?

I have a question about mental health. Maybe you can help me out, and tell me what kind of mental disorder this might connect with.

My friend recently told me that she is having some weird issues. For one she talks to herself when she is alone, she acts out things, pretends to be other people, ect. She also has flash backs. She had a really tough time in school, and if something reminds her of it. She can't help herself from thinking about it. She says sometimes when she talks that in her mind she'll think of school. Then she'll have to shake her head, or tell herself to stop thinking before the memory will leave her head. Do you think she could have some type of mental disorder? What does this remind you of? She likes to act out things alone. Like what she sees on T.V. She acts like other people. Thanks for the help.

the MS is secondary progressive, and I have been aggresively treated with interferons since 1990, but my body now has built antibodies. I tire very easily, but I have so many things I would love to accomplish in my life. I'm in a chair, with other things not working well either; I've been on total disability for almost 10 years. I would love it if a cure could get me back into life, and I've read that researchers feel it's about 10 years away. I'll be 65 then, and seriously wonder if a doctor would invest any such new drug in a 65 year old woman. I'd love to hear some knowledgable response.

hi.i shaved down there like two weeks ago, but it was this week i started itching really bad between the edges of the lips of my vagina. then yesterday i notice i have a rash that extends to both the areas between my thighs. it still really itches and i'm thinking its all the stubble, but i shaved down there before and never got rash from it. i also have sex with my bf and after i shaved we did it but he doesn't have a rash or an itch. i have no oher signs of an std like foull odor and discharge, or burning sensation. could i have developed a rash or could it be a std?

The first time I experienced this rash, it was on my buttocks, & spread to cover an area about 8 inches across. The eruptions since that time can be as small as a single blister, about the size of the ball-point end of a pen, or they can be dozens of blisters. If more than one blister is present, they are clusters, not stripes of blisters (I have experienced poison ivy before also) It usually begins erupting around mid May or early-June, and continues for 5 months. The individual blisters take about 5 weeks to go away, but the area will remain red & flaky for another month or so.
I have tried various topical treatments, including calamine, benedryl lotion, cortisone creams (OTC & prescription strength) and triamcinolone creams. I have also taken a number of oral medications, including benadryl, claratin, cimetidine, atarax and others. Nothing has provided anything more than a minimal reduction in itchiness, nothing seems to speed the healing of the rash.
