Swimmer's ear is caused by water trapped inside your ear canal, which can become infected. Try rinsing your ear with vinegar- it evaporates quickly and will help evaporate the water out of your ear. If the ear is infected, then see a doctor and get an antibiotic.

Over the counter drops are available for about $4.00. Or, use hydrogen peroxide and follow with a few drops of alcohol about 3 times a day for 2-3 days.

I make my own eardrops -- 2 parts rubbing alcohol and 1 part white vinegar. It stinks but it clears it up. Use after each swim.
