I do not know if it will cancel your surgery but maybe you should call the doctor and tell him today that you have swimmers ear and he can let you know what to do. Or make sure you tell them first thing tomorrow. Well wishes on your recovery

Make sure you report this to the admitting clerk and to the nurses who may see you. It should be reported back to your surgeon if they are at all competent.
Also, it's not a bad idea to take a sharpie marker and write, "Not this foot" on your good foot. Sometimes they mess up and work on the wrong arm, leg, or foot.
