There are some that can help you lose weight fast, but are not good for your body at all. Diet pills are not a good choice when trying to lose weight. Simply changing your style of eating, like halving portions, or adding 3 glasses of milk a day will help lose weight quickly. I've lost 20 lbs in the last 3 months by diet and exercise, but even just changing your diet will do a lot. Talking to your doctor about what would work best for you is also a very important step in losing weight. There is probably a lot you can do besides taking a "magic pill" that is easier on your body and you.

I think drugs are not the best choice. 30 lbs took time to put on so double that time. Integrate 60 minutes of aerobic excercising like walking into your daily routine . You can eat during these months. If your routine is diminished the fat won't come back as easily as if you take the pill or starvation diet route. Its a matter of retraining your body memory instead of shocking it to lose the fat. This is a project that has to take time. Try 6 months to up to a year for you yo reach your goal. Once its off those 30 lbs will stay off more likely.
