I know this sounds crazy but I just had my yearly physical this morning and I have shrunk 1/2 an inch (I'm only 5'1!). I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for eight years and I've recently been trying to cut down on my cheese/egg consumption. I'm only 26...has anyone else experienced this? Please don't make fun...

i have been a semi-vegetarian for a couple of years, and went completely veggie a few weeks ago.
just wondering what other fellow vegetarians are doing in order to receive their optimal nutritional daily values.
I absolutely love soy (tofu, meatless meats, etc) and i do eat plenty of vegetables, and nuts, and could probably increase my intake of beans. Lastly, i take multivitamins as well.
Any extra info would be appreciated :P

It seems like it's really hard to get sick from produce that's like this. Meat is a different story, because I eat meat about 3 or 4 times a year. I would throw meat away right at the first sign of it going bad.

Does anyone have a good recipe for gnocchi that is vegetarian and doesn't include mushrooms or tomatoes?

Also, what would be good accompaniments?

I mean, what can you do with that slippery goop? I tried frying it up, with onions and garlic and spices and grated cheese. It was OK, but not very tasty.

I know spinach is super-nutritious, so I would appreciate any fairly simple ideas for what to do with a can of the green goop. Gracias.

I'm not sure how it could be with all the cheese. Maybe the thin crust would be better since it is made of white bread. I know there is a lot of sodium, but what about the other ingredients?

Ever since becoming a veg, I have lost a bit of weight (not at all my purpose). I'm thin and I want to bulk up as healthily as possible. I'd like to stay away from powders, etc if possible. Is there any food that will put the pounds on me?

I recently became a vegetarian simply because I feel bad for the animals. But I just can't - for some reason - feel bad for fish! I even have 2 pet goldfish who have been alive for years... but I'm feeling like it is ok to eat them. Is there something wrong with my logic? The fish don't have eyebrows...I just don't feel sorry for them.

Do you feel bad for fish? Gah! They're just fish!!!

Can you be a vegetarian and still eat chicken and/or fish? Seems a bit of a cop out by several people I know who claim do be vegetarians but will eat chicken and fish. Surely a true veggie should only eat the flesh of the Quorn, whatever that is.
