Breast milk is an animal product, I was wondering what makes it okay for vegans. This is not a frivolous question. Someone asked me, and I didn't have a good answer.

Thanks

What category would I fit in if only eat chicken and fish? Can you tell me the bad effects eating meat can have on a person and the benefits you have seen by becoming a vegatarian.

I went to a vegan chinese restaurant and I tried fake meats for the first time ever. I was quite impressed by how they managed to replicate fish and meat.

My question is what do vegetarians/vegans think of fake meat/fish? Do you enjoy it or do you hate it?

I think they're great value, and pretty tasty if you embellish them with a bit of cheese and a glob of tomato sauce.

i came across two brands of organic eggs at the local grocery store.

horizon and country creek. both of these are USDA approved organic and had "cage free" also stamped on the package.

i was wondering if anyone thinks either of these two are reliable and animal friendly etc.

if not. could anyone recommend a brand that they know which is animal friendly? i don't live anywhere near local farms...

I get regular checkups to make sure my B12 level is okay (at least once a year). However, I have ran into other vegans who tell me I still need to be taking supplements. Could someone tell me why in the world you would need to take B12 supplements if you B12 level checks out okay?

I would like to plan 1-2 vegan meals a week, but I have an aversion to soy products or anything heavily processed. Where can I find vegan main-course recipes that center on beans or nuts for protein?

i am not tring to start world war 3 or anything but why is it that when I post a vegan question asking for websites, that I always have people saying "mmmm meat, I love to eat animals" and then i post a question about a vegan website and someone says " all you vegans should go there and talk about how your so much better than everyone else".
I think that is hypocritical. I am not trying to offend anyone I am just defending my beliefs. If meateaters want us to respect them, they need to respect us also. I goes both ways!
Also when you say vegans are more hypocritical, YOUR WRONG!

Hello people,
What do you think a vegetarian really means? The only things I consider meat are dead animals like Chicken, Beef, Pork, and even egg, I donot consider dairy products/plants as meat. In my opinion, I consider eggs meat because there is an unborn, ungrown chicken inside of it eating an egg is like eating an embryo from a human going-to-be mom by disecting it out. Milk is not considered meat because it is not part of an animal it comes from an animal an other example of it would be vommit/pee from a human are just another digested/undigested form of food that a human being ate; pee is not meat. Milk is an other form of cattle(tan grass type thing) a farm animal eats. Finally, Fruits/Vegetables/Leaves are not considered meat because you are actually helping plants by plucking a fruit from out of them not affecting them in anyway, its more likely for the plant to die when you dont pluck the fruit whenever it is fully grown and it is the same with leaves and vegetables.:)

Hey I have been reading about 'dangerous soy side effects'.

What do you think? I am thinking it is the dairy industry fighting back as a lot of people have turned from dairy to soy (just observations in the coffee shop 'soy cappacino please!')

I do believe 'everything in moderation' so we eat fake 'meat' 1-2 a week (such as a sausage in a curry etc), but really, I think a soy sausage would be much healthier than a sausage made out of ground up animal parts and bones... !?

I'm a meat eater so I'm not being judgemental, but after seeing how poorly animals are treated when slaughtered I've thought about going meat free. How do you guys feel?

Hey, I'm fourteen and I'm really getting into the hobby of cooking. However, my family's also trying to maintain/ lose weight, so will you please help me with some low-calorie (and preferably low-sugar) meal recipes? I would greatly appreciate it if they were fairly simple, since I'm still in school and don't have much time to prepare a meal with all my homework.
