i am not tring to start world war 3 or anything but why is it that when I post a vegan question asking for websites, that I always have people saying "mmmm meat, I love to eat animals" and then i post a question about a vegan website and someone says " all you vegans should go there and talk about how your so much better than everyone else".
I think that is hypocritical. I am not trying to offend anyone I am just defending my beliefs. If meateaters want us to respect them, they need to respect us also. I goes both ways!
Also when you say vegans are more hypocritical, YOUR WRONG!

I am on your side here. Let's say that there are more meat lovers than animal lovers. How can one love an animal as well as enjoy its meat ? Well, in my opinion, this world is already sick enough not to realise this simple truth. Animals are souls too. Earth is not meant for humans alone but all animals as well.
Just because humans have abused their rights to control and rule, then it should be taken for granted that they are no better than the wolfes and the tigers, etc.
Primarily still a beast of beasts. Only way to evolve is to rise above the level of the beast; not to stay on top of the same level of evolution.
I thank you for bring up this topic because I have a chance to voice out my views.

This site is over run with people like this.

Personally I would not bother with it. ask your questions and worry about the good responses. Hell, report the ones that aren't even attempting to answer the question.

P.S. Amanda, What are you doing about human suffering? Anything?
Veganism is about ending oppression of all forms human and animal. These are not mutually exclusive, but rather much be worked for together. Veganism is living abolition, and this includes abolishing things such as slave traded human products as well from our lifestyle. A Vegan should by the very definition of the word work towards refraining from products of human as well as animal oppression. The Vegan position is Very sound morally, and I agree with you that vegetarians are inconstant with their stated values when they continue to consume dairy and eggs. However, we must keep in mind that this in not an all or nothing issue. Because some field mice may die in farming my food does not mean that we might as well eat the flesh of cows because we can not do everything. Any step is a positive one.

hmm.. I see your point in which people are not sensitive to others beliefs. I myself a meat eater love it but I also respect the people who are vegetarians and vegans. I actually think vegetarians and vegans open up some great ideas for food recipes that meateaters typically wouldnt try. Sorry to hear you have had insensitive people come your way. Keep your beliefs up and let no one tell you differently

Some people are just jerks, lurking on Yahoo! Answers with the sole purpose of being rude. It happens in pretty much every category of questions.

Although I do eat the occassional fruit and vegetable, I am pretty much a carnivor. However, I would never degrade anyone's beliefs, regardless of what question category I was in. Basically, if I can constructively answer a question, I answer it. But if I cannot, then I don't try to get a quick two points.

My husband and that i've got vegetarian pals and we've had NO animosity in the direction of them. as quickly as we've get togethers we consistently ascertain all nutrition alternatives are lined. the only time it replaced into an argument is at a cookout we hosted and we did no longer comprehend we've been to cook dinner the vegee burgers on a separate grill w/distinctive utensils. yet no harm replaced into completed and all of us had a stable laugh. 2 vegee burgers for the canines!! perchance what you're examining as "hate" is an attempt to no longer offend and tip toe around a difficulty this is distant places to 3 human beings. variety of like how the shy woman on the party is considered because of the fact the snobby stylish. perchance some meateaters do only no longer % to declare the incorrect factor. in addition they'd think of you're looking down on them for ingesting meat. do no longer let us know what to consume and we will not enable you to comprehend what to consume. team spirit!!

You're easy targets. I mean come on...I'm so sick of hearing people say it's wrong to kill animals for food or clothing. Why not worry about the people killing people! Why don't you preach to the murderers that they are immoral? Are you scared they might say something you don't like and don't know how to respond besides REPEATING yourself time after time?

And about saying mmm meat I love to eat animals...well we do...and when you get the chance to talk about saving an animal don't you? just the same when we want to throw in that we love a bloody steak with potatoes, is that so bad?

But atleast your a vegan...Vegetarians are a huge joke...they preach about killing animals but are o.k. when they're held down to get their milk for they're cereal...

Good luck with your vegan ways. You'll realize one day that there are other causes to care more about. Try AIDS, diabetes, heart disease, all cancers, etc. Fight for a cure for something you can do something about. People will always eat meat...but maybe we can cure cancer...

You make an excellent point. That's the way the whole world should work, but it doesn't. People are always going to poke fun and be rude to people who aren't like them, or don't have the same views as them. So, rock on with your vegan/vegetarian self and, don't let it bother you.

I know. I recently posted a completely unbiased question about vegetarianism (I think it's still open) and the first three answers were useless. Some 'meateaters', as you call them (Well, I guess we can tell who's holding the moral high ground in this question) can be pretty agressive. But some veggies can be very self-righteous and preachy. AHH, live and let live already.

I agree, some people can really be jerks. I mean, if you don't eat meat, more power to ya! I mean, there are some benefits to eating meat, but there are alot of benefits to not eating it as well. I respect people who are vegetarian and vegan, it must be hard finding good recipes, etc. Anyways, sorry my fellow meat eating friends are rude, that really sucks. I hope you find some good websites.

It's because vegans are just plain weird....it's simply not enough to practice that lifestyle, they ALL feel the need to preach and sit on their thrones and look down upon the meat eating masses in distain. If you would all just lighten-up you would find no one really gives a rats-@ss WHAT you guys eat (or don't eat). As long as you keep up the attitude and looney-toons answers you write you are going to be a target for smarty-pants like myself.
Nothing personal (honest). Just like to rip on anyone that sticks their head up and begs to be shot!
