I know many vegetarians, including my wife. No one of them eat fish.

Vegetarians do not eat fish, nor any animal flesh. Many also restrict animal based products such as rennet, gelatine, eggs or dairy.

I believe the though that 'Vegetarians eat fish' came around from Catholism, where on Good Friday they abstain from eating meat - but many Catholics will eat fish - therefore giving the impression that 'fish is not meat'

Hope this helps :-)

Strict vegetarians do not eat fish, poultry or red meat. There are other sub-categories of vegetarianism which offer varieties on this definition. The "vegetarians" who eat fish are pesco-vegetarians. A lot of pesco-vegetarians eat fish simply for the protein content. However, this is not strict vegetarianism as fish are still living, breathing creatures.

This question gets asked loads on here. A person who eats fish is not a vegetarian. Those who do and call themselves one don't understand the meaning of the term vegetarian.

It is not vegetarian to eat any animal flesh.
I myself am a pescetarian or aquarian as my friends jokingly call me. For the fact that although I do not eat it often at all I still very rarely eat fish.

VEGETARIANS DON'T EAT FISH, THEY DON'T, THEY DON'T, THEY DON'T!!!!

There's no such thing as a pescetarian, a pesco-vegetarian, a flexitarian, a semi-vegetarian or a demi-vegetarian. Those are all people who've chosen to eat some sort of meat, whether it's flesh, fish or fowl and they are not vegetarians, get it? THEY ARE NOT VEGETARIANS. They're just trying to salve their guilty consciences by letting on that they fall into some form of vegetarianism.

And they make me sick!!!
