Hey I have been reading about 'dangerous soy side effects'.
What do you think? I am thinking it is the dairy industry fighting back as a lot of people have turned from dairy to soy (just observations in the coffee shop 'soy cappacino please!')
I do believe 'everything in moderation' so we eat fake 'meat' 1-2 a week (such as a sausage in a curry etc), but really, I think a soy sausage would be much healthier than a sausage made out of ground up animal parts and bones... !?

As I said, I only have fake 'meat' 2ish times a week.
I read the labels, don't worry :-)

I've never heard of soy being dangerous, but anything can be over done. As for those soysages... be careful, some have more fat in them than the meat sausages. Always read your labels and know what you are getting

A month in the past i became having intense issues because of the fact of soy and no one PAID ME to have them. i'm getting slightly irked on the individuals who aay "Oh, soy is sturdy for you, yet of direction no longer the processed stuff". Um, that's what maximum folk are bearing on while they ask approximately soy! FERMENTED soy stuff has been eaten for an prolonged time in Asian worldwide places. The stuff we've available interior the U.S. and in different cutting-edge worldwide places has no longer been ate up for long. Textured vegetable protein, soy meats, franks, etc. - i might actually eat them sparingly. I won't even eat soy milk. no longer while there is almond and rice milk accessible. If overdoing soy (eating at leat one meal an afternoon with soy) would reason intense well-being issues for ME, then that's a huge crimson flag that that nutrition won't be the form of physically powerful undertaking in my e book. The dairy industry wasn't knocking at my door making me have hives daily or inflicting a fricking goiter or making my thyroid almost provide up functioning. That became the soy. i do no longer have confidence it and that i do no longer have confidence people who might so particularly push aside the non-public stories human beings like me have had with soy and merely write the completed undertaking off to three form of conspiracy. eat tempeh, eat natto, soy sauce, and miso - those are all soy ingredients that have been eaten for an prolonged time and are fermented. pay attention each and every thing else (even tofu). this is the policies i've got been residing by way of and all my undesirable well-being issues have long gone away when you consider that i've got eradicated soy from my nutrition plan.

Too much overprocessed soy is linked to problems with the thyroid gland, amoung other things. In truth, extremely processed anything isn't the greatest for you(think processed rubbery cheese). Real soybeans, even soymilk(Which is a filtered, liquid version of the product) and tofu are really good for you! I'd just stay away from things like Tofurky. I'd say you're right, if it's in moderations it's not going to hurt. Fake meats have high levels of sodium, sometimes fat(not always good fats), and other things, but if you're healthy all around, your body can deal with this.

Many soy detractors are raw milk enthusiasts, which is also antagonistic to the conventional dairy industry. Personally, I think animal meats are better for you than soy substitute as long as they are high quality (grass fed, no antibiotics or steroids). These will be generally leaner meats and the fat they do contain is high in omega-3 fatty acids.
Soy contains the following health-harming properties:
1. Enzyme inhibitors that block the action of trypsin and other enzymes needed for protein digestion
2. Haemagglutinin, a clot-promoting substance that causes red blood cells to clump together
3. Phytic acid, which can block the uptake of calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc in the intestinal tract
4. Goitrogens, which can depress thyroid function
All of these compounds can be neutralized by fermenting the soybean; fermented foods like tempeh, soy sauce, and miso are okay.

I believe the ones that talks bad about soy products are those that don't want people to eat healthy lives. If Soy products work for you don't worry about what other people say. I like Soy Choclate milk and yogurt but won't eat soy meatless meats.

I don't think anything in moderation will hurt you. I have a granddaughter that can't have real milk and she drinks soy milk everyday and puts it in her cereal.
