I mean, what can you do with that slippery goop? I tried frying it up, with onions and garlic and spices and grated cheese. It was OK, but not very tasty.

I know spinach is super-nutritious, so I would appreciate any fairly simple ideas for what to do with a can of the green goop. Gracias.

Throw it out, and get some fresh or frozen spinach.

As a kid, there were some school lunches that you could smell a mile away, and that canned spinach was one of them. I didn't think I liked spinach until I had fresh. That canned school lunch stuff was gross!

Spinach is great in omlettes, with feta cheese. I don't really think about hiding it, because I love spinach!, spinach doesn't show obvious in pizza. Here's a bit of advice, as a guy, you don' have to hide it from us, we are saps, if he digs you, and you like spinach, he gonna eat spinach if it makes him sick! o_O

You can always make my favorite food! (Veg, of course) Spinach casserole sounds gross but is delicious. You can find many recipes for it. Essentially it is pasta, spinach, cottage and cheddar cheese, nutmeg, onions, and eggs (so it is not vegan).

You can robably find other nice recipes using canned spinach @

You can put it over chicken with melted cheese; chicken florentine. You can put it over fish. For breakfast, toast an english muffin, heat the spinach and put it over the english muffin, then put a poached egg on top of it, you can even add a piece of canadian bacon to it.
