My wedding anniversary is coming up and one thing my husband and I have always enjoyed together is trying new foods/recipes. I'd really like to make something special for him. Preferably something lighter and summery, maybe involving seafood? Got any good recipes, websites or books? (other than foodnetwork.com, which I've combed)

I bought a bulk size bag of lettuce to make salads for myself and my child care business. I didn't realize that there was so much in the bag and now I'm afraid that it will go bad before I can use it all. It would be a shame to waste all that lettuce. Does anyone know of any recipes or suggestions that I could use to prepare other meals or food with the left over lettuce?

Have you ever made a grilled cheese without margerine? Did it turn out ok? Using just 2 pieces of bread and 1 slice of cheese, can I make one?

I am hosting a large White Sox tail gating party, with about 20 people. I need ideas of what to cook/bring for food, that will keep about 16 hungry men and 4 women happy. Something that wont break my bank account. I will have a gas grill there and also a large weber charcoal grill. I am trying to avoid the staple foods like hot dogs, burgers, chicken, brats, polish sausage etc.

Thanks!

Like honey roast boar, swordfish with fruit in mouth, Goose or duck with cherries for eyes etc. Bizarre food that has a very carnivorous visual effect. Like the Feasts of the Gaulish village in Asterix and Obelix comic books.

I went to this luau in hawaii not too long ago. I tried their Banana Coconut cake there and it was so good. I want to try to make it at home. Anyone know of any good Banana Coconut cake recipes? The place I went to go check out the luau was called Paradise Cove (Ko Olina). I made a cake awhile back, but it's nothing compared to what I ate at Paradise Cove.. HELP! I'm craving BANANA COCONUT CAKE!

I had the BEST Cesar salad today from red lobster. It was simple, romaine lettuce, crutons, shredded cheese. But I believe there was something special about the dressing, it was a thin white color, had someone of a salty taste. Any recipes on a cesar salad like that?

Is it better to marinade it then bbq it? or is it best in a stew or can you make it for steak on a bun? or should I put it in the crock pot/slow cooker? I've never had this cut of meat before, just not sure what to do with it, so any suggestions would be appreciated* Thankyou~:)

I've read that to cook with white wine, just use one that you drink... but I don't drink white wine. Is there a substitute? I don't want to buy a whole bottle, then only use 1/2 cup. It's for a chicken dish, if that matters. Thanks~
