How to make potato chips aka potato crisps that do not brown upon frying? A lot off NetSearch hasn't helped.

I've Googled it. I've looked at links on HowStuffWorks. I looked for it in Wikipaedia. I've even looked at a kid's website.

Before all that, I've worked on the problem for six months. I've tried frying variations, drying variations and I have tried the varieties of spud avaiable. I've changed the day and time of frying and I've prayed. And I still haven't figured it out! If any answers help, I shall personally write a sincere note of gratitude.

Do recipes, specifically the temperatures, but also anything else if this is true, need to be adjusted for being at about Sea Level?
If so... how?
I recently moved from Ontario to the Coast of B.C.
I remember something from Science class about water boiling
at a different temperature depending on altitude, and am wondering, is this so, and if so, how does it affect cooking / baking?
Also, does anyone have a good website which talks about this?
Thanks!

No amount of scrubbing and and hand soaps simply get rid of the entire smell. Its impossible to wear gloves and scrap off the skin of a squid, too slippery.
Thanks :)

I was raised in a family meat locker and it's hard to get meatcutting out of you blood. I love old world sausage of all ethnic backgrounds and am looking for something new. (I mean old actually!) Polish, German, Italian, Swedish, anything you'd like to share. Please be serious and no wise cracks. Thanks!

Let me clarify my question. I'm looking for recipes for making the sausages themselves. Not using the sausages in another recioe. Sorry for the confusion. Thank you all for the answers thusfar. They'll not go to waste, I promise.

I confess, I'm not the best cook in the world. In fact, my family has always begged me NOT to cook. lol

Lately, my boyfriend and I have tried to make pancakes. We live in a small apartment with limited kitchen space, so we only have one nonstick fry pan. When we try to make pancakes in this pan now (after spraying the pan with oil...), the pancakes are difficult to turn (we use a plastic spatula bc of the pan being nonstick) and then the pancakes have a light black film on them, so we just toss them. I've washed the pan a gazzillion times now and I don't see why we can't make the pancakes. Is something wrong with the pan? I know I can't cook, but I made pancakes a few weeks ago using the pan and they turned out great.
