By curd cheese do you mean cottage cheese? And what is the dessert? Just found and checked my cheese cookbook and it says that "Farmers Cheese is reminiscent of cottage cheese but with a higher fat content and a finer curd". That's from the "The Cheese Guide & Cookbook" by nitty gritty productions
