Im looking for any brands of vegan chicken burgers, there was 1 in particular that I bought from a large store in calary canada, (maybe safeway, london drugs or the big canadian superstore) Im not sure which it was. Do any of you know of any VEGAN chicken burger manufacturers in canada (not containing egg)? please list them for me. Thanks.

I have had a couple of bottles of good champagne that have been hanging around in the fridge since 2000. Do you think this is still good or should I just toss it?

I want to start drinking now, but I'd probably be on my face before midnight.

I recently found out that tomato puree is genetically modified in that the tomatoes ripening gene is reversed to enable them to keep it without going off. Do you find this an issue? does GM food worry you?

It's New Year's Eve and we are having steak and scallops. Before I go to the grocery store during my lunch hour - yes, some of us still work on New Year's Eve - I figured I would think about what to make with it. I have no idea.

So, what are some suggestions on what to serve with a beef-and-seafood dinner? Recipes are welcome, as are appetizers. Thanks!

I'm looking for ideas of food that is NOT crunchy (loud when you eat it) and NOT messy. So, food that's soft and 'clean'. If it's a little messy or crunchy, that's ok. But do you have any ideas besides pb and j or apple sauce??

I REALLY shouldn't be allowed in the kitchen. Every time I'm in there, I somehow screw up whatever it is I'm trying to make. Today, for example, I was trying to make this chocolate stuff for my little cousin (she's going to something tonight that's French inspired and everyone has to bring something). You have to blend all the ingredients in a blender before you can cook it. Well, I thought it was going to take forever going by the directions...so I decided to double up the ingredients in the blender and get twice as much done. NEVER DO THAT! Even though the blender wasn't completely full and I had the lid on, as soon as I pushed the button it went everywhere. I'm going to be cleaning up chocolate for a week.

And that's nothing compared to some of my other mishaps in the kitchen, but I'll just keep those to myself...lol

You know for the New Year?

I have celiacs disease and I'm looking for ways to celebrate the new year without over doing it. I know I'm allowed to have wine and distilled liqour but I'm not a big fan of wine, rum, vodka, gin ect. I would like to find a common gluten free beer and where I might be able to purchase it.

I am baking a cake and I have a jar of opened maraschino cherries, which have small black spots on them, they tasted okay...I've had them for over six months (which I read is the shelf-life when opened and refrigerated). Opinions?

Okay, so I need help finding a specific beer, or type of beer.

First off, let me tell you that I am NOT a beer drinker. Or rather, I'm not a bad beer drinker. I don't care for the sharp acidic taste or the, for lack of a better phrase, the piss-poor metallic smell of canned cheap beer. That being said...

I was at a Christmas party at Lamberts in Austin, TX. I had a great beer but can't remember what it was called.

I think it was a Real Ale, but I know it wasn't the Fireman's #4 Blonde Ale. That one was too, I don't know, light? It was fruity and acidic. The one I liked was deep amber in color and warm and yeasty in flavor. It wasn't dark like a bock though.

So I googled beer and got a crash course, only now I have ended up with more questions than answers... So I figure the only way forward is a very serious scientific study, I'm going to do a taste test. :-)

So give me your suggestions... Yes, I know I can call Lambert's and ask, but where's the fun in that??

Can you describe how it tastes & then rate it on a scale from 1-10?

Is it true you're supposed to soak it 1st? How long? & then when I cook it, how long should it cook & when do I start putting the meat in? This is my 1st time preparing this myself. I want fresh blackeyed peas, instead of canned. I've made fresh beans before-like white beans, black beans, & red beans, but they never turn out right, & no matter how long I cook them, even if it's 3 hrs., they're still hard. What am I doing wrong? Is there any other advice you'd like to add?

This sounds crazy, but I'm seiged in my room tonight! And I need to eat! So I will buy a few Pot Noodles...

Is it safe to boil bathroom tap water in a kettle and make a Pot Noodle from it???
