If i wanted to pursue becoming a food critic, what type of institution do i need to attend?

Do i attend a regular 4 yr institution majoring in journalism, or do culinary institutes have a major for food journalism?

You probably need both;-} but reputation is more important.
How will you become recognized as an authority?

A combination would probably be best. Certainly your writing skills must be fine tuned but you will have to understand food and it's preparation, etc.... etc....
