I hate labels but I wonder how some of you would define me.
I do not eat meat and avoid consuming dairy products, eggs or honey.

However, there is leather around the house and once in a blue moon, cheese is found in dinners I have ordered (which I ended up eating). Also, some of the fake meat products I have in the refrigerator include eggs and dairy ingredients.

Again, I do not buy eggs or dairy though. Eggs disgust me and I am lactose intolerant.

I call myself a vegetarian. However, some vegetarians I have met eat fish or consume dairy and eggs.
In other words, there is a lot of flexibility in vegetarianism.
And, I think my diet is stricter than simple vegetarianism.

Maybe, I am almost vegan?

I bought some cooked shrimp at the grocery store yesterday (Monday). They weren't frozen when I bought them, but they were on ice and partially frozen. I bought more than I needed. Can I put them in the freezer?

What should I do. I told him he should quit, but he refuses because he says it pays good and is a good trade to know.

Should I keep on him, or just forget it.

I say crisco and slow cook it with salt and pepper added to the cooking chicken. It should take about 20 minutes per side and she cooks it in about 10 minutes. It is always tough and not very good. I love fried chicken and would like for her to have a good receipe to work with.

I am trying to cut down on fat and "bad" cholesterol but I LOVE BLT's. I was wondering what are the best kinds of vegetarian bacon?

So far I tried smart bacon and it was gross.

Any brands other brands to try?

I am tired of eating chicken, and ground meat, don't want to cook fish. At the market ground turkey is $1 for a package, chicken about $3 for three leg and thigh quarters, and talapia fish is about $1 for two in a pack.

I want some advice on a quick and cheap meal to cook that will last me atleast 2 days.

I'd rather have personal experiences, rather than internet instructions. I haven't been successful and I'd like a technique that works.

I've been trying to cut coke and caffeine out of my diet in an effort to become healthier. I've just been drinking a lot of water, some milk and quite a bit of juice. A friend of mine told me that drinking juices such as apple and white grape are just as bad for you as soda is, and that I shouldn't even bother cutting out soda if I'm going to drink the juices. I thought juices were better for you though. Does anybody know which is actually better, if either?

And how long have you been a vegetarian or vegan?

A vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat meat no matter how small the amount or frequency. Eating meat every once in a while is still eating meat. Fish is meat.

A vegan is someone who abstains from meat and meat by products such as milk and cheese and does not wear fur or leather.

I've been a scotch drinker for years, and have settled in to Dewars because it is the best well scotch I've found at a sane price; love the Glenlivit or Oban, just hate paying for it, and cant stand Jonnie Walker except the gold?

I am 32 and have always hated the taste of all kinds of alcohol whether it be beer, wine, or liquor. People have always told me it would grow on me, but it never has. I consider that a good thing since it makes it easier not to become an alcoholic. Still, many people have told me that they love the taste of beer, wine, etc., and I wonder if their palettes are different than mine.

I once read an article in a science magazine that said 25% of the world's population are what's called supertasters. Their taste buds are supposedly much more sensitive to taste and they react more severely to things like hot peppers, bitter vegetables and alcohol. These things are all borderline painful in my mouth and I wonder if the people who like them also feel the pain.

Is wine bitter to the people who like it the way it is to me? Are peppers painful to the people who like them? Is broccoli bitter? Etc.

I am in the Houston area, and I am starting to get ready for the holiday season by trying out tons of new recipies I have. What are some stores that sell things like bamboo shoots, snow peas, baby corn, and other stir fry material like that?

Would Target or Walmart have any?
