First, good for you. Second check out the website, www.allrecipes.com. Put in any ingredient, "porkchops" and a whole world of recipes will open up. Once you start searching for recipes your boyfriend will have to start working out. There are a lot of sites out there. Even companys like Campbells, or Prego have great recipes. Recipe searching can be addictive.

I will give you some easy ones! You don't need to be a cook to make these! You can also go to Kraft.com they have a lot of easy recipes! Good luck and have fun!
Chinese chicken salad (you can do it without chicken too)
Ingredients:
cabbage (I use green but it really doesn't matter) 1-1 1/2 cups
Carrots about 2 big ones
Cilantro 1/4 cup
Green onions 1/4 cup
lemon juic (I use half a lemon)
salt to taste
asian sesame salad dressing (I use the Lite Ken's Steak House because it is delicious) about 1/2 cup or as much as you like!
Method:
Cut cabbage into small strips
grate carrots
chop green onions
add cilantro
Now mix all together (don't forget the chicken if you are using it)
Add lemon juice and salt. Then mix all together with asian dressing. Leave it in the fridge for 30 min to an hour and then it is ready to serve. Delicious!

Easy Chicken Parmagana
Ingredients
Boneloess chicken breasts (however many you need)
a box of Shake N' Bake
spaghetti noodles
spaghetti sauce
mozarella cheese
water
oil

Method
boil the water for the spaghetti, then put spaghetti in boiling water, make sure to add a teaspoon of oil so the spaghetti will not get stuck together. Also stirring helps.
While that is cooking, prepare the chicken according to the Shake N Bake package. I think it takes around 20-30 min for the chicken to cook.
Then heat the spaghetti sauce in a sauce pan. Since it is already prepared, it only needs about ten minutes.
Now wash spaghetti. Add mozerella cheese on top of the chicken when it is ready. Let the cheese melt, then take it out. Then you are ready to prepare the dishes. Put some spaghetti on plate, then put some sauce on top of the spaghetti, now add the chicken. It is also good if you put some extra sauce on top! It is so easy!

Fettucine
Ingredients
Pasta (any kind you like)
broccoli
mushrooms
peas
Fettucine sauce in jar (sold at markets)
cooked chicken (optional)

Method
Boil pasta and wash
now in a pan mix the vegetables, pasta and sauce (also add chicken if you like)
cook together about 15 min.
Serve with parmesian cheese on top! Delicious!
Not so complicated and easy! Enjoy!

Simplest thing in the world is roast chicken pieces. Put some bone-in pieces on a cookie sheet or baking pan, season with salt and pepper (and lemon juice and oregano if you want to get fancy) and roast in a 375 degree oven for about 50 mins. Serve with salad and baked potato (prick skin; in oven for 1 hour or microwave 5 mins per potato until soft when you squeeze it), or maybe Pasta Roni.

Good cooking doesn't have to be complicated, you just need to learn a few basics. Then keep trying and build your confidence.

Better Homes & Gardens cookbook is a great help, the recipes are easy to follow. I always recommend following a recipe the first few times until you feel you have the hang of the dish, then change a little of this or that to your tastes.

I'll help you out with a recipe I came up with on my own. I cooked this for my boyfriend during the 10 years of our relationship, and it's still his favorite dish now that we're married!

You'll need a 9x13 baking pan (lasagna pan, casserole dish... whatever you have around that size).

- 2 packages refrigerated crescent rolls (Pillbury garlic crescents are the best to use!)
- 1 jar spaghetti sauce (I use Rich and Meaty Ragu, but any will do)
- 1 box rigatoni pasta
- 1 package shredded mozzerella

Read the back of the crescent roll box, and set the oven to the temperature it tells you. Cook the pasta according to directions, drain, and put in the bottom of the pan. Pour the sauce over it, mix together. Cover it with mozzerella.
Unroll the crescents, and place over the mozzerella, covering up any open spaces, running your thumb along the edges to seal it. If using garlic crescents, spread the garlic butter (melt it for about 10 seconds in the microwave if you want) over the top of the crescents... if not, use butter and garlic salt/powder. Bake according to the directions on the crescents box. It makes a delicious casserole!

I serve it with a caesar salad, and that you can buy in a 'kit' at the grocery store, greens and all!

Hope that helps hun, good luck!

Something that my daughter makes that is fun and easy and she is 5 and that is lasagna. I don't know of many people that don't like it.

They even have no cook lasagna noodles.

No boil lasagna noodles
Large jar of favorite spaghetti sauce
Riccotta cheese
Cheddar cheese, parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses- can get already grated
salt and pepper to taste

In a casserole pirex dish layer in some sauce on bottom- layer in noodles-more sauce, salt and pepper, cheese, and then keep layering it up until to top.

Pop in oven on 375 for 45 minutes or so. Till fork put in is tender.

Spaghetti is simple. Brown 1 lb. ground beef and drain grease. Add the beef to a can of seasoned diced tomatoes--partially drained. Also add 2 cans of 8 ounce seasoned tomato sauce. Simmer uncovered for ten minutes or so...and you have dinner. Guys are easy to please. The only other thing you will need is garlic bread and a salad.

Something real easy is marinated baked chicken.. get 4 skinless boneless chicken breast and a bottle of thousand island dressing... put all the chicken in a large zip lock bag and put the enough dressing in the bag to cover the chicken, let this marinate over night and then put it in a pan to bake (I usually grill this but you can bake it too).. Bake at 350 until the chicken is done... This goes good with a can of green beans, corn or a similar vegtable and dinner rolls..
