Yah, the store sells frozen, cooked shrimp too.
Really, it's ok. You won't get sick. The only thing is that the texture of the shrimp will change slightly do to the effect of freezing on the water molecules. They'll still be delish. Of course, fresh is always best. :)

You can thaw it under running water for ~15 minutes the day of the party and then you only have to boil it for 3-4 minutes. Shrimp cooks very quickly. Most people wouldn't recommend refreezing defrosted food, but I say that if you defrost in the fridge, chill it quickly with cold water, and freeze right away you have no problems.

I have and didn't notice any problem with freezer burn. However, I usually saute them in garlic and lemon juice, so it might not be noticeable if cooked like that. If you're having them plain there might be a flavour affect.
There's no health risk from re-freezing though.

It'll be iffy. Shrimp are pretty temp sensitive. But if they have ice in the bag it's prob OK.
Best bet is to put any you'll use quickly in the fridge.

Yes. They obviously will be better off eating as soon as possible, but taste difference won't be that noticable. And re-heating is fine if you plan to eat them warm like with pasta.

No, not if there already cooked. They will spoil. But if they are bought frozen, yes.
