My boyfriend is the cook, but he has not been able to make hash browns (ones that come in a box, the shredded kind) without burning them. They get black on one side, and the rest is still a bit mushy.
He says he follows the directions on the box, which says to use 4 tablespoons of oil in the pan. Its a dark pan.
He has one of those little grills...should he try it on there?

back when I was little, in the early 1970's my mom used to make this salad for her dinner parties that was just peeled and sliced cucumbers and some dill sauce drizzled on top, this is pre-ranch dressing days I believe, but it was very much like it only REALLY dill flavored, I would love to find out if anyone knows what this was or how to make something close to it, my mom just doesnt have the memory of how she made it anymore. and I have tryed taking ranch and adding dill seed to it, but its not the right flavor.
thanks you to anyone that can help me.

Every restaurant (fast food or Dine-in) including but not limited to Subway, McDonald's, Burger King, Gardunos, Olive Garden, TGI-Fridays... all use the same slicers, ovens, and sam oil to prepare all foods.
so a kosher meat, lets say beef, is cooked in the same oil that is previously used to cook pork ...which makes the beef non-kosher too. Is there a law that prevents that from happening or should there be a law against this?

This is what I did today, wokeup at 10:30 and ate cheerio's with 1 cup of organic milk, at 1 went running, 1/2 mile continuously, little break 1 more lap and then sprinted 8 100 yards. then walked1/4 of a mile, I cant come at 4 and ate 1 1/2 peices of healthy sourdogh bread with 4 peices of sliced turkey- not the nasty preservative filled ones and then ate 1 cup of apple sauce and 50 sunflower seeds.
I left before I had a chancee to eat lunch
is this unhealthy

My Father only likes fried chicken. I know there are a million ways to cook chicken and I'd probably eat just about everyone of them. What's a suggestion you could give me to get him to eat chicken that isn't fried?
Thanks for your help!
