I just started training at starbucks this week. There's so much to learn and memorize and the people aren't very nice! Should i even bother? I will most likely not have time for it when my teaching job starts in a couple of months anyway.

I was eating my way through a packet of m&m's on the train home yesterday when I became aware of the fact that my hand was automatically puting them in my mouth straight from the packet. They could've been black, white or any other colour. They all taste the same, so why bother colouring them?

Let it be known that if Masterfoods (or whoever the makers of m&m's are) act upon this, I would graciously accept a cheque for saving them millions.

i kno it sounds silly, but is there is?i mean like its made from something else other than wine. i never use alcohol in my cooking, i mean i cant take alcohol (as per principle n belief). recently ive tried salad with a very good dressing (accidently) n liking it, only then i learn that its balsamic vinegar n it's made from wine.any substitute for it?any suggestion?

I've seen people rinse spaghetti in cold water after it's been cooked, and some boxes tell you not to, just wondering why you would do it in the first place.

I am having my first pool side dinner for my family. My family consist of 2 adults and 2 kids. We are going to have dinner by the pool every Friday. I plan to cook the food and bring it to the pool. We live in Florida and our water here is gross. Every time I make tea, it seems to taste "heavy" and dirty. I bought some distilled water from the store, and it still tastes heavy.

What's the trick? When I go to a restaurant it is light in color and it tastes great. Mine is dark and tastes bitter.

Any suggestions?
