I tried this amazing Bloody Mary on a recent trip to Shanghai, and all I want is to be able to duplicate that perfect mixture ... or atleast find a good basic recipe I can play around with. If you have a good recipe for bloody mary's .... i'd appreciate it so much !

I want to make a fruit salad ahead of time and I don't want the fruit to get dull or change colour. Is there anything I can add to it to keep it looking fresh a day later.

So yeah, 21 and of course drinking will be involved, I'm not an alcohol virgin but I'm no veteran neither. My questions.

What can I eat before drink which won't upset my stomach and come out in a nasty way, or better yet, avoid the puking all together, I can take ginger for it works with all my other nausea issues, but I don't know if it works as well with alcohol.

And what can I take before sleeping so I don't wake with a nasty hangover, usually I just down some advils and never get the problem, I don't plan on buying those chaser capsules and rather have a natural remedy instead of pills.

And finally, whats a good classic drink/mix I can score at any bar (America), none of these lame fruities or newer drinks.

Do they eat Song Thrushes, for instance?

Are they available in supermarkets? Has Bernard Matthews thought of breeding them in prisons? Or should that be Barnard?

I have got a Partidge breast and a Wood Pigeon breast waiting to be eaten tomorrow. What to do with them?

If the worse comes to the worse, I will probably pan fry them neat and eat them with savoury rice, couscous or crinkled oven chips (=French Fries for the Americans).

Or I might marinade the Pigeon in soy sauce. Or I could do a stir-fry. Bedtime in England, so I do not have think it out straightaway

The date stamp said Feb 01. It's is now Feb 13 but the cream does not smell bad. However, it looks partly congealed in the carton. Does that normally happen with cream? It's organic cream. And it was not opened until today. Should I toss it? Is the date the time by which I should use it or open it (the carton does not say)?

I need vegan cookies, that are peanut butter free, and that don't require egg replacer (i'm out). Honey is okay, but preferably not.

For those who don't know, a vegetarian doesn't eat meat, but a vegan doesn't eat meat, eggs, milk, or any other animal product.

thanks!

I've been wanting to invest in a really good set of kitchen knives. I would like knives that will last a lifetime, I've heard they are out there. I've been looking at many different brands at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, but I'm not sure which ones are good.
What are the best knives that are really worth the time and where can I find them?
And have you used these knives?

I bought two starfruit which were yellow and I assumed ripe. I ate the first one which was a bit sour and left the second for two weeks during which time it began to go brown and smell very sweet. I've tried eating it and it tasted too ripe. So when is the starfruit/carambola ripe and ready to eat?
