The Original Bloody Mary Recipe

I have always felt that vodka drinks take on the role of the Great Democratizer, serving as a cornerstone for cocktails and mixed alcoholic drinks for everyone. Take the Bloody Mary . Besides the vodka-fueled Bloody Mary, no alcohol drink recipes appeal so greatly to the broad spectrum of humanity, from the ardent tailgater to the petite sophisticate.

A Bloody Mary recipe prepared sloppily is an insult to the guest as well as the vodka that anchors the drink. Prepare your Bloody Mary recipes correctly, and the dignity of your bar is upheld.

I always buy that Mr.& Mrs. T stuff you can find at most local grocerys and buy a bottle of tabasco sauce. But I make mine in 20 oz glasses and fill it up with vodka a third of the way and with the mix the rest of the way and add a few drops of tabasco. Not much help but I do like Bloody Mary's made my way heh.

Major Peters makes the best mix ..Period..you can buy it at the grocery or liquor store, regular or spicey. both are great. Add a squeeze of lime in there..you can also put alittle whorstershire sauce in it. One and a half shot of Vodka or even better is Tanqueray Gin...(bloody maria) <----dont be scared to try it, it's wonderfull...but the biggest secret to an awesome bloody mary is to salt the rim of the glass with seasoning salt that you cook with...alittle lick and then a swig of bloody mary is absolutely wonderfull..try some green olives with it too..it's heaven! I bartend and I know my bloody mary's!!!

In lieu of tabasco - try Siracha hot sauce (Oriental)
In lieu of horseradish, try Wasabi
In lieu of Worcestersire sauce, try fish sauce
