I need vegan cookies, that are peanut butter free, and that don't require egg replacer (i'm out). Honey is okay, but preferably not.

For those who don't know, a vegetarian doesn't eat meat, but a vegan doesn't eat meat, eggs, milk, or any other animal product.

thanks!

Oh this is SOOOO bothering me! I have an awesome recipe for cream cheese sugar cookies (I'd imagine you could use a vegan cream cheese sub) that does not need eggs. They're very good. Unfortunately, although I GOT the recipe online... I can't FIND it. I'll try to remember to dig it out when I get home and edit this post to include it. I was thinking about making some tonight for Valentines Day anyway. :)

Yay! Found it:

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

1pkg cream cheese or substitute
3/4 c. butter or substitute
1c. sugar
2tsp. vanilla
2 1/4c. flour
1/2tsp baking soda

Beat crm cheese sub, butter sub, sugar & vanilla till smooth. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate dough for 30min.
Roll dough to 1/8" thickness. Cut out desired shapes, transfer to lightly greased cookie sheet & sprinkle with colored sugars. Bake at 350* for 10-12 minutes or until edges BARELY BEGIN to turn brown.

These taste like regular sugar cookies, except that the cream cheese (or sub) adds a richer flavor.

Oh my, the question is why would you're making vegan cookies...or any element else for that reason? Ewww. the reason i'm so opinionated about vegan diets is that vegan is an same in maximum respects to Hindu fasting. We quickly continually. You call it and we are busy fasting. Oh, seem it is the 0.33 aniversary of Durga's maid's 0.33 cousin's wedding ceremony...enable's have 9 days of fasting. No rank adult males, it is dahl and greens for the week. as a effect I actual have considered a lot of human beings struggle through from undesirable food. The few greens that offer protien are also intense in carbohydrates. it truly is a nightmare balancing your intake to conceal each and every of the nutritional fundamentals. i'd propose going vegitarian yet no longer vegan...its too intense to be healthful. a minimum of you get a effective style of protien factors with dairy. and also you get to positioned on leather-depending shoes and belts...remember a real vegan consumes no animal matter...blah blah blah...

To replace 1 egg, use 1 Tbl of ground flaxmeal and 3 Tbl of water. Stir it together and let it sit for a few minutes. That the same as egg replacer.

Just search the web and include the words vegan recipe inyour search parameters. There's no shortage of recipes out there.

Keep the batter warm by setting over a pan of hot water. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be at least 3 inches apart. Bake for about 5 minutes, until the center of the cookie is set. Let the cookies set before removing from the baking sheets.

Enjoy!
