I want to make a fruit salad ahead of time and I don't want the fruit to get dull or change colour. Is there anything I can add to it to keep it looking fresh a day later.

Hi Nicole R! Squeeze a little bit of lemon juice in it. I do it all the time. The acid in the lemon helps preserve the fruit from changing color.

you can add a some lemon juice to the salad to preserve the colors. But you can't let it sit too long cause it will change colors no matter what after a while.

Lemon juice should do the trick - squeeze a fresh lemon and spread over fruit, stir to ensure all pieces get some.

Fruit will in trouble-free terms get fairly comfortable if that is overripe once you freeze it. It has some thing to do with the ice crystal bursting cellular walls.

Lemon juice on the hard fruits like apple and pear - it is really only the white hard fruits that discolor.

A bit of lemon juice will work well but any citrus juice will work if lemon juice is too tart for your tastes.

Yes, splash on a bit of lemon juice (one tablespoon or so) then stir. There's also a product that you can find (in the baking aisle?) in grocery stores that also does this.
