Food & Drink - 5 February 2007

I once dated this very nice jewish guy. His mom cooked this amazing meal for lunch one time. It resembled turkey drums, but it was some sort of bread. It was very thin and flaky and it appeared to have been rolled to make it thicker. We dipped it in a tomato juice sauce. It was a brownish color, and was DELISH! Anyone know what the heck Im talking about?? Please let me know!

I LOVE to cook & I especially love making elaborate home cooked meals for my BF every night but since we have a deal "I cook. He does dishes." We're having English style pastys for dinner tonight. Yummm. These and a salad, and dinner's complete.

How many of you in the US have heard of these? I live in Michigan. One of the churches sell these as a fund raiser. I buy lots, and freeze them. Only $3 apiece, and they're large.

What sort of food/drink do you crave when you feel like your Mom should be taking care of you? The stuff you remember making you feel safe when you were a kid.
