this answer depends on many things- like how fresh is your meat- what is in the marinade- and how cold your fridge is

assuming all of these conditionas are optimal and your marinade doenst include dairy products, you should be ok to use the meat if it has been refrigerated up to 4 days.

if you have a very strong marinade with alcohol and vinegar in it, this may cause your meat to disintegrate when you cook it!

I would guess 24 hours because some recipes call for overnight and as long as the meat is fresh and there is no citrus in the marinade it should be fine. If there is citrus in the marinade, just a couple of hours because the it actually starts to "cook" the meat.

Hi!

I have heard it is overnight....however I understand that a Sauerbraten can stay about three days....a Czech friend of mine
told me that at home in her country they left it that long....

until the use by date that was on the package of meat when you bought it....
