No alcohol is an aphrodisiac, they are depressants as the manner that the alcohol affects your system. If any, a wine or champagne would be your best bet for "setting the mood." With a sweeter taste and smooth consumption, they have a better lift than Brandy, Vodka, Cognac, Bourbon, and Whiskey.

I think Abigor has a good answer.
I work for the liquor control board of Ontario Canada.
People react differently to the different kinds of alcohols.
It's finding the one you agree and enjoy with.
Some people just should not drink at all, because its all in the control.
I have always been told that I am a happy drinker, and yes I also get horny.
But it also depends on what and how your drinking.
I don't drink very fast, I eat something, and I'm always drinking water when I am having any kind of alcohol product.
Watch out for acidity drinks, and the lose of sugar in your body.
Popsicles or Mr Freezes are good during or after drinking, they have water and suger in them.

Alcohol is a depressant and lowers blood-pressure.

Alcohol is not an aphrodisiac.

I disagree with the answers I've seen you get thus far. Speaking solely for myself, tequila makes me uber horny. I'm naturally a horny person anyway, but once I've got some tequila in me, look out!

I think it basically depends on the person. I had a friend who didn't even react to tequila....her drink of choice was whiskey. It had the same effect on her that tequila has on me.

Alcohol tends to lower a person's inhibitions...and therefore they are more apt to go after what they want more than they would when they're sober.

Any alcohol will lower ones inhibitions. It depends upon the setting and mood. Also drinking enough to relax, but not so much to pass out!

Good Luck!

Red wine unless you drink too much of it. It works on the same order as chocolate does, releasing endorphins into your system.

If you have too much alcohol it may be like "shooting pool with a rope"
