I'm a military wife stationed overseas and our commissaries don't have very large selections and the local German stores are too expensive...we're on a tight budget. I want to make a dinner that calls for ricotta cheese and the commissary doesn't have any. So what cheese could I substitute?

I'm looking for a tasty recipe with corn, chiken or beef & possibly a salsa of sorts. I've had southwetsern Eggrolls are few chain restaurants & they are always delicious & looking for something similar & a little spicy. i got a new blender and im really into makin smoothies....but i need some good recipes. i have a really good blender (14 speed) so i can make almost anything in it.

their cartons state what they claim is in the smoothies eg "2 bananas, 37 strawberries, 12 grapes" but they claim that is all that is in them but they taste too good to be that simple.

im tempeted to stick all the fruit listed on a carton in a blender and see if it tastes the same. has anyone ever done the same??

Well Ive just bought myself a set of scales cos I need to loose some weight and I know something Im bad with is portion control on breakfast cereal and pasta.

On the back of the pasta pack is says to use 75g for a portion for 1 person. I weighed this and there was hardly any there.

I did the same with cereal and on the box it says nitrutional info for 30g but my magazine said to eat 25 so I measured both and they are hardly anything.

No wonder the young people are turning anorexic if they go by what the packets say and magazine guidelines.

My 15 month old nephew would eat more than that.

Can this seriously be done this way without starving?

We bought one that was way too big for our family. So since the original ham dinner, I've used it in a pasta sauce and in a lentil soup. And we STILL have leftovers! Please help me out with something creative and tasty. Thanks!
