What is a good way to make lasagna?

Number one secret, don't cook the noodles. That way they'll absorb the sauce. Mix 1 tub of ricotta with fresh or dried parsley, garlic salt, and 2 eggs, 1 cup of ricotta and 1 cup of parmesean. Beat this together. Then to your sauce, add vinegar and sugar to taste. Layer the sauce, uncooked lasagna noodles and ricotta mixture in that order. Most importantly, do everything to taste...I don't ever use a recipe and I am known for my lasagna. But after you finish layering, sprinkle ricotta all over the top and sprinkle that with parsley flakes and parmesean cheese.

my lasagne recipe is as easy as pie...

i use the recipe on the back of the barilla no boil lasagne noodles except i add pepperoni to the ragu pasta sauce of the day and blend it together in a blender before using.

Barilla No-boil lasagna

This is the best lasagna ever!! The noodles are so nice and thin and there is NO PREBOILING!! I will never purchase any other lasagna other than Barilla. I've been making this now for 3 years and everyone agrees--the recipe makes the very best! The instructions are right on the back of the lasagna box. I usually make multiple batches and freeze them. Its a great housewarming or "new baby" meal for a friend!

Uncover and continue cooking until all the cheese is melted on the top (about 5 minutes).
Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
If you are using a 13X9X2 pan---just make 3 layers to avoid boiling over.

super easy:

cook ground beef - spice it up with garlic and italian seasoning
once cooked, put in large can or jar of spaghetti sauce

in a bowl - mix ricotta or cottage cheese with one egg and a cup of romano Parmesan cheese with a little parsley. no parsley? no biggie - leave it out.

take out baking pan and put enough sauce so it covers the bottom of the pan THINLY.

you'll then put a layer of cooked lasagna noodles and then place teaspoon full of the cheese mixture on top of that - put in dollops say every 1 1/2 inches apart. you'll then cover with a thin layer of shredded mozzarella cheese and then the sauce. keep repeating until you get to the top.

bake it for about 30 minutes at 350 and you should be all set.

that's all i do and people seem to like it. yeah, it's cheating with the canned sauce, but you can put your own spin on it.

make your own easy sauce and use smoked cheese for the best flavor.

start sauteeing onion and garlic in a pan. Add all the veggies you like. mushrooms, peppers, eggplant, spinach, squash, carrots are all great. Sautee with italian spices (basil, thyme, sage, oregano, pepper) until the veggies are about half done. Add a large can of crushed tomatoes. Salt and Pepper to taste. Cook over a very low heat for 1-2 hours to get a full bodied taste.

Mix 1 small container of ricotta cheese, 1/2 c parmesan cheese, fresh herbs, garlic, salt, pepper and one raw egg together in a small bowl.

Grate 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Grate 1 cup of smokey gouda or another of your favorite cheese. Smoked cheeses really add to the flavor of the lasagne.

Take a large baking dish, and layer in this order: sauce, noodles (def. use the no-need-to-boil kind), cheese. Finish with a layer of sauce and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Bake at 375 degrees for one hour until butter knife cuts through the middle easily.

I like to use the 'no boil' noodles. They seem to make my lasagna less runny.

I also don't use a lot of cheese, but I mix in 1 whole egg for every 1b of Ricotta I use. I also mix in about 1/2 C of Mozz, and about 1/4 C. of Parm. for every lb of Ricotta into the cheese mix. - salt and pepper to taste.

I put a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of the pan, a layer of noodle, layer of cheese mix, noodle, sauce, meat - ground beef and It. sausage mix - I use 1/2 and 1/2 but that's just how I like it. Then more sauce, noodle, and keep layering it till either I run out of room in the pan, or I run out of stuff. I top the whole thing with a layer of noodle, and sauce.

Bake it at 350' for about 1 hour, top with parm and mozz cheese, let it bake for about another 5 min. just till the cheese melts.

Set rest for about 30 min, then cut and enjoy!

Not sure about Lasagna, but I can give you a really good recipe for Cheeseburger pie.

2 cans Cresent Rolls
1 lb ground beef
1 med. onion
(mushrooms, green pepers, etc. if desired)
1 can tomato sause
1 lg bag motzarella cheese

brown ground beef and drain, add onion season to taste (usually use italian, garlic, etc.) add mushroom, green pepers etc. allow to brown until onion is tender. Add tomato sause. In deep baking dish, use 1 can cresent rolls for crust. Bake for approx. 2-3 min. remove from onion and add 1/2 beef mixture and cover with cheese, add remaining mixture and cover with cheese. Use 2nd can of cresent rolls for top crust. Bake at 375 for approx. 45 min. or until golden brown. Serve!
