What is a good wine to go with salmon?
Italian?
Steak?

I have heard that certain wines go best with certain entrees to compliment the flavor of the dish.

Thanks!

My recipe calls for cider vinegar. I just have regular vinegar. Can I use lemon juice instead? or maybe nothing. I'm using potato, mayo, eggs, and green onions.

I'm looking for a name for a university campus coffee shop. It's atmosphere is designed to be like a pub's, so the name could ressemble that of a pub. Here are some features the name could incorporate: A play on royalty related words (the university is Queen's), a Scottish sounding name (it's a scottish tradition university), and if possible include something about location (I don't know how you'd do it, but it is located in a very distictive place (West campus), a little bit away from everything else. West campus is very proud of its uniqueness, and usually most things there have something to do with the word "West" (ie. QClubWest, their logo is a compass with "W" highlighted...)

I've done the big bouncy thing for his 2nd and kids pizza place with rides and fun for his 3rd. I'm looking for new exciting and fun ideas. He's very mature for his age. Most people think he is already 5 simply because mentally he is at that level. He loves everything motorcycles and already has one of his own. Help me please!

Anyone have any tips on how to get hardened ice cream out of the carton? I have arthritis in my wrists and it would be helpful to know how to get the ice cream out of the box easily with a scoop instead of straining my wrists.
Thank you!

For those of you who helped me with this yesterday: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtMpjA70ptbM.0Yzj6ZHXunsy6IX?qid=20070103105847AADnTAM
Thank you!

I tried some of the advice given there, and in two tries, it still didn't turn out right. However, I did prevent the mushiness. I think the primary difference was that I used less liquid, and I also cooked the rice for about a minute before adding the broth and stuff. Also, I put the heat on a bit higher, more of a low boil.

So on my first try, I noticed that after 15 minutes the liquid had been entirely absorbed. Unfortunately, the entire bottom of the pan (stainless steel) had a huge layer of burnt rice. This was at a low boil. The lentils were perfect, but the rice was still hard and undercooked. So I figured that maybe I absorbed too much water too quickly, and perhaps my heat was too high.

I have a chicken casserole recipe that calls for 1/2 cup of white wine. I'm not much of a wine drinker and I really don't want to go out and buy a whole bottle of wine for just this one recipe. If anybody can help me that would be great. Thanks so much!

My mom is trying to make coconut chicken. She is trying to make the same kind that you eat at chinese restaurants. If anyone has the recipe for that, please let me know. All we know is that it takes coconut milk, corn starch for the thickness, and we tried that but it still doesn't taste the same.

i have receieved a lot of helpful answers. as i stated earlier...i will probably just let it be.

however...i do live upstairs, and last year, when the first egg arrived, i was really sad when i saw it had gone "splat" downstairs.

then when the next one appeared, i tried moving it to a bush at the foot of the stairs, but the peahen kept coming back looking for it. i felt bad again, because she thought someone stolen it. so i replaced it to the mat, and saw that it went "splat" again. i was sad about it, but figured "at least she knew what happened."

so now...if i choose to leave the current egg...how can i help mommy not to abort it?

I am making brownies and it calls for 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate squares, all I have in cocoa powder. I've heard you can subsitiute cocoa powder (mixed with oil or something) for the chocolate squares..
How exactly do I do that? What do I mix the cocoa powder with, and how much?
Thanks!
