I went to an Iranian wedding years ago and the mothers had prepared some amazing varies of rices (savoury/sweet) I'd like to reproduce them but can't find anything like it on the net or in a book. Pity I didn't ask for the recipes at the time huh?

If I was to make some sort of meat any meat, what (other than veg) would go with it? not just meat...say a nice pie or quiche and please don't anybody say chips because we are sick of chips :-( also those pasta sauces you can get in the packet (my husband loves them) what would go with the sauce or even savoury rice? Please help because as you can tell...I've got NO idea!!

My friend loves scotch and I thought it would be great to make him these with that versus the bourbon. I am just wondering if a recipe I already have for bourbon balls would work with scotch.
