Lemon Curd is just that. There is also an Orange Curd. It is made from the whole fruits, but with the fruits in a muslin bag, so that it leaves just a curd, which is called Lemon Curd, because it is a curd with lemon in it?

I thing, lemon curd is mixture of lemon juice with plane rice.i.e, in a china dish plane rice is mixed with a little oil & lemon juice & mustard&other incrediants to make a dish. It remains good for a long time.I have tasted it during picnics.

Lemon curd is made from lemons, butter and eggs. They are combined in a pan over another pan of hot water and beaten until they thicken. And omg it is good stuff especially on toast...yum.
