The LAST sentence where it says to cut 1/3 off each side... please read and tell me if you understand what they're saying. :(
If the Marzipan only covers the top of the cake, I don't understand what I'm exposing on the side?

Knead marzipan and 2 drops green coloring in large bowl until color is evenly distributed. Dust work surface with powdered sugar. Roll out marzipan on sugar to 12-inch-diameter circle, sprinkling with powdered sugar as needed to prevent sticking. Spread reserved 1/2 cup buttercream over top of cake. Using rolling pin as aid, drape marzipan over top of cake. Press gently to adhere. Trim marzipan flush with top of cake; reserve trimmings. Brush excess powdered sugar off marzipan. Using long sharp knife, cut 1/3 inch off each side of dessert to expose strawberries

I do, whenever I'm not tired. Last year I started trying my hand at baking from scratch, like bread, pasta (pasta didn't work out), cake (didn't work out), pizza (almost as good as a restaurant!), flour tortillas, and tortilla chips. I'm going to try my hand at more things from scratch and invest in pasta maker.
I'm working on making some of my own frugal gourmet recipes. One of my fave things to cook is dumplings.
Cooking and baking from scratch, or making recipes can be a lot of work sometimes, but it gives me a sense of accomplishment. Now only if my ex knows one of the things he's missing by dumping me! He had my pizza from scratch once. But I'll save my best cooking for when I meet my prince.

If so, do they have additives in them? On the advert they say all the other colours have no additives, but they don't mention the blue ones. Any ideas?

Case in point:

Someone recently wrote on Yahoo answers:
" I have not ridiculed anyone for choosing not to eat meat. However I think alot of vegans take themselves and their eating habits too seriously and project them onto others without warrant. Kinda like gays and christians."

Looks like ridicule to me.
