Mine is Hugh (can't say his surname!) from Rivert Cottage because he uses everything and doesn't believe in waste.

I know who you mean, Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall his name is isn't it? He does cook some gorgeous food, I liked the look of that massive bird thing he did one Christmas where they stuffed loads of birds inside each other and then cooked it, I'd have loved to have tasted that!

Gary Rhodes is a fave chef of mine.

I find it difficult to take any of them serious. For culinary skill I would say Michael Caines from Exeter. For presence Gordon Ramsey. The sad thing is most of the work you see on TV is done by their staff they only do the finishing bits not the work. The other problem is TV chefs should not own restaurants. I visit a number of TV chef restaurants and they are never there. So you never actually taste their food. I report on hotels and restaurants as part of my job. There are many great chefs who would not appear on TV yet are brilliant at their jobs.

That's a great question, i like Hugh as well, but my favourites are Keith Floyd i just love his style, the way he just throws ingredients in any old way and comes up with fantastic dishes, but no1 has to be Gordon Ramsey, everything is perfection.

Personally I like Jamie Oliver because his recipes are so down to earth and accessible. Other chefs use wierd and wonderful ingredients that most of us wouldn't use or have in the house. Every recipe I've done has always worked out beautifully..
