I love tamales and I am on the search for the best ones in different cities. I am visiting Santa Fe and it is a tamale fest over here! Here's your chance to weigh in with your favorites.
If possible, please list
1. The kind of tamale (green chili chicken),
2. The name of the restaurant (Tesuque Village Market),
3. The city (Santa Fe),
4. And the price per tamale/plate ($4.99 per tamale...ouch!).

If you have other comments about quality, variety, atmosphere, etc. feel free to mention them!

(The masa was very moist and the filling a little hot. They come unwrapped--which was a little disappointing because half the fun of tamales is unwrapping the husk yourself. They are usually pretty busy at Tesuque, serving tourists, the Santa Fe Opera crowd, and their local reservation. They also have a bakery and small food store.)

Let the Tamale answering begin!

Am off out to a cocktail party tonight, the idea is you go in groups or pairs and make a cocktail, each pair/group has a different time slot and for 30min makes everyone at the party a cocktail. Then when your finished you just get to enjoy what everyone else is making......but what do we make? Something easy, tasty and cost effective, any ideas?

I like using ground beef because it's inexpensive, but I'm looking for some new menu ideas. Any suggestions. I'm looking for anything EXCEPT: spaghetti, meat loaf, hamburger helper, goulash, or teriyaki beef, or beef and noodles (have plenty of those).

Any other ideas out there that don't use those hard to find items or cost a lot?

Thank you!

About 4 years ago, I first noticed that Pop-Tarts brand toaster pasteries were suddenly about a quarter of an inch shorter in length. Now, upon opening my latest box, I found that they are now 3-quarters of an inch smaller in total (yet still in their original-sized foil wrapper, which is in of itself deceptive). I ponder whether this is truly a fair thing to do to consumers...I hope I am not the only one who feels disappointed by this.
