Am off out to a cocktail party tonight, the idea is you go in groups or pairs and make a cocktail, each pair/group has a different time slot and for 30min makes everyone at the party a cocktail. Then when your finished you just get to enjoy what everyone else is making......but what do we make? Something easy, tasty and cost effective, any ideas?

B52.
Carefully pour over the back of a clean spoon to fill shot glasses in three layers the following:
Kahlua
Grand Marnier
Bailey's
(i.e. so the Kahlua is at the bottom)
more of a shot than a cocktail, but it looks great.

Try a Canal Street Daisy - put the ingredients into a tall glass in this order - 1 shot whiskey (whatever your favourite brand is); 2 ounces orange juice; 2 ounces lemon juice (concentrate works great or if you prefer fresh, knock your socks off); top off with Soda Water to 1/2 inch from top of glass and give it a wedge of lime.
Hope you have fun!

My favourite cocktails are the Godfather and Whisky sour. Both are really simple to make.
The Godfather is whisky and ameretto on the rocks (mixed to your taste).
Whisky sour has many variations, but it is basically whisky and lemon juice.
The Godmother is vodka and ameretto on the rocks. Just in case you are a girlie and don't like whisky!

1/2 oz sweet Vermouth
1 table spoon dry Vermouth
Squeeze 1/2 slice of lime or lemon or orange, leave in the glass
Awesome cocktail!

Hi, a drink I use to enjoy was called an A&W. It tasted just like a rootbeer float. It was made with Galliano (spelling) coke and a splash of half&half. It was really good. It is served over ice.
