About 4 years ago, I first noticed that Pop-Tarts brand toaster pasteries were suddenly about a quarter of an inch shorter in length. Now, upon opening my latest box, I found that they are now 3-quarters of an inch smaller in total (yet still in their original-sized foil wrapper, which is in of itself deceptive). I ponder whether this is truly a fair thing to do to consumers...I hope I am not the only one who feels disappointed by this.

Every ounce smaller they can make the food, the higher the profits. Kelloggs is a big food corp who doesn't care about giving you max value or nutrition. They spend their time finding new ways to get you to buy more or to pay more for the same items.

Happens with all foods. Look at potato chips for instance. I can't remember the last time I got a bag that was more than 1/3 full. You never see the price go down though, do you?

One authentic sign of turning out to be old is noticing the miniscule adjustments that nutrition companies foist upon us candy bars being labelled "relatives sized" whilst there is not any authentic length difference, basically cost Cereal bins being labelled "2 for cost of one" whilst each and each field is a million/3 the unique length, and breakfast pastry sizes shrinking from 12 oza field to eight

Some companies are giving less and making smaller so that when you look at the calories it is less, very deceptive, but its the latest craze.

Yes, I have noticed that it makes me mad. Not near as mad as them getting rid of the watermelon flavored poptarts. Those were my favorite ones.
